UNITED STATES NAVY INDEFINITE DELIVERY/ INDEFINITE QUANTITY CONTRACT - UNITED STATES NAVAL FACILITIES ENGINEERING COMMAND

A.D. Marble & Company currently holds an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity to conduct cultural resource services for NAVFAC Atlantic. A.D. Marble & Company has conducted the following work under this contract:

• Recordation documentation for buildings, piers, trestles, and other structures – Naval Weapons Station Earle at Colts Neck, NJ; Naval Air Engineering Station at Lakehurst, NJ; Westover Air Force Base at Chicopee, MA; and Portsmouth Naval Shipyard at Kittery, ME
• Oral History Documentation – Naval Weapons Station Earle
• Digital Mapping – Naval Weapons Station Earle
• Reproduction of History Documentation – Naval Weapons Station Earle
• Determination of Eligibility – Dover Air Force Base at Dover, DE
• Design and installation of interpretative signage – Dover Air Force Base at Dover, DE and Naval Air Engineering Station at Lakehurst, NJ
• NAGPRA – Inventory and assessment of Carter Collection

All of the work listed above was conducted in accordance with the respective Memorandum of Agreements and in coordination with the National Park Service and the respective State Historical Preservation Offices.

Archaeological efforts as part of this contract may include Phase I identification surveys, Phase II eligibility studies, and Phase III data recovery excavations mitigation. Tasks could include both pre-contact and historic archaeological sites in the Mid-Atlantic. Task assignments could include underwater archaeological studies related to harbors, ports, and pier complexes.

Other work efforts anticipated include archaeological predictive modeling, assistance with GIS data layers at different activity areas, oral interviews with current and former military personnel, preparation of historic and illustrative public information materials, and other items as directed by the client. This is a five-year contract with a value of one million dollars.
