One of the keys to cleaner streams and rivers is public education. With this in mind, A.D. Marble has developed a “Building Blue Communities through Wise Water Management” education campaign. “Building Blue” seeks to educate residents, businesses, and the water resources community about the causes of stormwater pollution and prevention behaviors that can be adopted to help improve our waters.

Natural channel design incorporates the characteristics of stable stream reaches into channel design with minimal structural hardening. This allows a stream to effectively convey water, sediments, and bed load while still providing biological potential. A.D. Marble has staff trained in applied fluvial geomorphology and has completed natural channel designs for more than 4 miles of stream.

Wetland Restoration & Design

A.D. Marble has more than 25 years of experience evaluating sites for their suitability for restoration, enhancement, or creation of wetlands. We have designed over 350 acres of compensatory wetland mitigation, including permittee responsible mitigation and mitigation banks. Our strength lies in the abilities of our integrated design team, using the expertise of our wetland scientists and engineers to develop a design that mimics the natural landscape.
